Just finished Kenny Moore's Bowerman and the Men of Oregon. Excellent biography of the man, and great insight into the track program during his tenure. Including Pre.
It made me regret not having taken the time during the spring or summer and visited Pre's rock one last time, gone for a run on Pre's trail, done a few laps at Hayward Field, or gone to one of the all-comers meets there.
If you are a track and field fan, a sports fan, or want an insight into the man who helped the behemoth Nike get off the ground. I highly recommend it.
