Yep. It boggles my mind to think of what it would be like if subsidies were limited to helping the have-nots of the world. How much would my Big Mac cost? Would it be a deterrent? Would the costs of production, passed on to the consumer, yield healthier choices? And what percentage of the population, like tobacco addicts, would continue to partake? I myself mindlessly eat fires whan at a fast food restaurant. Even the ones that taste like crap. Why? I don't know.
